Coming Soon - The 2020 Volvo XC90

The yet-to-be-released XC90 is set to continue the Volvo tradition of modernly-tipped luxury. While details on the 2020 Volvo XC90 are scant, there are a handful of features we can likely count on.

The largest vehicle in the Volvo lineup, the XC90 touts seating for up to seven passengers via its three-rows. Beyond this, Richmond and Sandston drivers can look forward to an extensive array of comfort, convenience, and tech features. Whether you’re thinking the full-loaded XC90 is the vehicle for you, or the base Momentum trim is ideal, drivers can look forward to a highly capable, versatile vehicle.

Exterior & Interior

The 2020 XC90 is set to add a new front grille, new wheel designs, and a host of new color choices. Beyond this, the XC90 makes a few interior changes but little else is known about changes beyond this. Interior changes take the form of a new interior trim options (tailored wool). Plus, the 2020 model year brings a six-passenger seating configuration for Mechanicsville drivers to consider. This means that the XC90 can now be configured to seat four, five, six, or seven passengers! If it's versatility that Glen Allen drivers are after, the XC90 is hard to top!

Additional Details to come - The 2019 XC90

Seeing as details on the 2020 model are few and far between, we can look to the 2019 iteration for inspiration. The 2019 XC90 touts three engine options, four trim variants, and (of course) lots of tech and comfort features. The various trim options can be outfitted equipped with one of the engine variants - as in, engines aren't exclusive to trims.

Power & Performance Features

Available in T5, T6, and T8 variants, drivers can choose between a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine (T5), a 2.0-liter supercharge/turbocharged inline-4 engine (T6), and a 2.0-liter supercharged/turbocharged inline-4 hybrid engine. All engines work in unison with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The T5 variant is available with a front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive choice, while the T6 and T8 engines boast standard all-wheel drive.

Tech & Comfort

The interior of the vehicle features an array of available features for Glen Allen drivers to consider. The base Momentum boasts a standard nine-inch touch screen infotainment display, a ten-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, leatherette upholstery, a panoramic moonroof, and a hands-free power tailgate. However, as Mechanicsville drivers would likely expect, the high trims boasts even more luxury and tech. the next trim in line, the R-Design, features a leather-clad interior, a digital dashboard, a Harman/Kardon premium audio system, and a 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment display. The Inscription, the third trim up, features lavish luxury interior options. Starting with Nappa leather upholstery, the Inscription also features ventilated front seats, and distinct wheel options. The Inscription also features more available features for Sandston drivers to consider. Such available features include a Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system, heated outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, and for an even smoother driving experience, a four-corner suspension. At the peak of the lineup, Richmond drivers can look to a unique trim option. The Volvo XC90 Excellence features seating for four passengers (two front and two rear seats), a rear-seat refrigerator, and Orrefors crystal glasses. If it's spacious luxury Glen Allen drivers are after, the XC90 is might be for you.
